KiKo – Aid for Children in Columbia

Fortunately, we are doing well which enables us to share with the less fortunate. And so, we continuously support the KiKo Aid for Children in Columbia charity initiative. Thanks to our direct contacts, we can be sure that our help is 100% used where it is needed most.

For more than 14 years, KiKo has been supporting the Florecer School in Popayán, Columbia. It is a therapeutic day nursery caring for traumatized and intellectually disabled children and youths.

Due to the initiative of Renate Frick, who is originally from Germany, the school has gained a wider reputation beyond the city. In addition, the Germany Ministry for Economic Cooperation approved the facility as a partner for voluntary social gap year programmes.

The hospice idea: assisting the seriously ill

FSC supports the hospice idea in Kelkheim caring for the seriously ill and dying, thus preserving their dignity until death.

The non-profit organization understands death as an important part of life that never should be put under a taboo. Being inter-denominational and politically independent, the hospice rejects active euthanasia in favour of palliative care. Patients and their families are supported in their grief.
